SanLu and Melamine
the producer of the infant formula ,The SanLu Group ,recalled it after determing that it had been contaminated with melamine,an industrual chemical.
China's health minister reported a third death from contaminated baby formula and saia more than 1300 babies remained hospitalized, including acute kidney failure ,in what has become a rapidly widening food safety scandal.
Yes, it has promised"serious punishment",however,it's still a scandal.even the company's chairwoman,Tian Wenhua,has stepped down.
I've drinken the frozen yogurt made by the Inner Mongolia YiLi and MengNiu Industrial Group for a long time in the past .Isn't it embarrassing today?
The dicovery of contaminated infant formula in China is a setback for the country's efforts to reassure its own citizenry and overseas buyers that the "made in China" label is trustworthy after a series of episodes.

Isolated children of migrant workersTuesday, September 23. 2008
Isolated children of migrant workers
We are living in the modern city, we are amazed by the imposing skyscrapes with distinct architectonics, fantastic billboards with spectacular neon lights, spacious and convenient infrastructures. We are admired and full of thanks to the governors and architects. But we seldom mention millions of migrant workers who have contributed more to the prosperity of the city, needless to say we would mention their children isolated in the remote and mountainous areas.
One of the centre education institution experts was quoted as saying by that one in every six children in our country is isolated in rural regions, because when they are still baby, their parents have to migrate to the urban cities to search work to support the family, leaving the children home alone living with their grand parents, the children just can reunion with their parents during the spring festival, and in usual time, they just contact via phones. Plus the obvious gap between grandparents and children, the new generation are severely lack of communication. All have had passive effects upon their physical health and mental development, moreover, it could be used to explain why in today’s society the criming rate among young generation is upgoing, because these children are easily affected by the pornography, violence, horror, and online games.
What’s worse, the urban citizens always complain and look down upon the migrant workers and their children, treating them as some of goons and thugs.
Why there are so many terrible discriminates against this group. The fact is that it’s unimaginable to see if the cities developments without the migrant workers sweats and endeavours, it’s impossible to forecast our country future prosperity if we are continue to pay less attention to the isolated children. Actually, these children should have the same education and living conditions as their counterparts in the cities, because they are both our country’s hope and future.
Stop the social prejudice!

Anti-government's corruptionTuesday, September 23. 2008
Anti-government's corruption
The governments' administration transparency not only reflect their efficiencies of working for public, but also is always taken into account of evaluating a country's comprehensive competition strength. China is a democratic country, despite some western countries distorted and attacked it's corruptions, like the limitation of human rights, and comments freedom. So it's common and rational to see recently our goverments are going to implement the next five-year anti-government's corruption plan.
The spokesman during a press conference addressed that through years of anti-corruption, China has become more stable and democratic, and we were gratified to see less complains and injustices. However, we couldn't be satisfied about our present situation, the fact is some of our hsitorical corruptions like bribes, tyrannizes, making use of positions still retained, meanwhile, with the new situation of market economy and society, lots of new problems would occur that need to be solved as soon as possible. They are including luxuriously expending the taxpayers' revenue for private uses, merchants colluding with civil servants, illegally have the citizens' houses removed and seize the public soils by force, the overfull political interferences to the ecomy. If we are not able to get rid of these terrible abuses right away, our govermets' credits and reputations must be weakened and infringed.
Now, we are hoping the civil servants must have a variety of tests and be qualified before they stand upon the future positions, meanwhile their future performances must be examed and evaluated by the public. Still the goverments should hold more public hearings to make their decesions under people appeals and demands, and release their fiscal particulars periodically under people and other organizations's supervision. Lastly, the mass medias should be encouraged to provide constructive and criticizing tips and officials shall deal with them in a proper way.

Born to Try by Delta Goodrem
Doing everything that I believe in
Going by the rules that I've been taught
More understanding of what's around me
And protected from the walls of love
All that you see is me
And all I truly believe
That I was born to try
I've learned to love
Be understanding
And believe in life
But you've got to make choices
Be wrong or right
Sometimes you've got to sacrifice the things you like
But I was born to try
No point in talking what you should have been
And regretting the things that went onLife's full of mistakes, destinies and fate
Remove the clouds look at the bigger picture
And all that you see is me
That I was born to try
I've learned to love
Be understanding
And believe in life
But you've got to make choices
Be wrong or right
Sometimes you've got to sacrifice the things you like
But I was born to try

China's Gold RushTuesday, August 12. 2008China's Gold Rush Sources: the new york times LIKE the Soviet Union at the height of the cold war, China is looking to make a statement by winning more Summer Olympic gold medals than the United States. Both countries will doubtless honor the systems that they say produce victories -- Chinese authoritarianism versus American liberty. But China has added an interesting twist to an old cold war story. Unlike in the Soviet Union, capitalism has infiltrated nearly all aspects of Chinese life -- except sports. Chinese compete like Adam Smith in the marketplace but like Vladimir Lenin in the arena. As a result, the way Chinese experience sports is vastly different from the way that Americans do. We all know about Yao Ming and maybe a few others with colossal shoe contracts to match their stardom. But for the most part, Chinese athletes perform best in sports that few Chinese care about. This is a country without private guns but with crack sharpshooters. With few public pools but the best divers. Fencing, canoeing, women's softball -- China excels at these despite the fact that very few Chinese show an interest in them. Why? Because the cabinet-level General Administration of Sport does its job well. It predicts which Olympic events could yield gold medals to China, allocates extra money to train athletes in those sports and dispatches scouts to locate children who fit certain sports molds. Those scouts may recruit a 6-year-old village girl with double-jointed elbows into a diving program, for instance, because a decade later she could arc into the water with a smaller splash. That China is gaming the Olympic system to win maximum gold is not some conspiracy theory. After the Sydney Games in 2000, the government launched its so-called Operation 119. The figure refers to the number of gold medals available in individual sports with oddly high medal counts -- canoeing/kayaking, for instance, has 16 golds up for grabs -- in which China has traditionally performed poorly. Of China's 32 gold medals in Athens in 2004, only four came in those 119 events. The surge in money for those events could push China to the top -- at Athens, its gold medal haul was only four shy of America's. You could say China's sports mandarins seek a good return on investment (maybe they're not entirely Leninist). Their sports schools now train roughly 200,000 professional athletes, more girls than boys, with Olympic gold as the ultimate goal. In America's self-selecting process, by contrast, tens of millions of children compete in the sports of their choice. Only the best move to higher levels, and their parents bear most of the cost. Chinese sports fans have grown up within their system, with odd effects. I sat outside Workers' Stadium in Beijing in 2002, for instance, to watch a big-screen broadcast of China's national soccer team competing in its first World Cup. China played that year's champion, Brazil. Sharing the field with such a power was an honor, yet, as Brazil built toward its 4-0 victory, spectators around me booed and tossed beer bottles. Typically, they saw no gallantry in a spirited loss. This is the result of gold-oriented athletics. The majority of Chinese have no opportunity to play organized sports that profess to teach broader values. Some lucky schools in wealthy cities have basketball or soccer teams that compete in occasional government-run tournaments. My son joined an ice-hockey team put together by a group of hockey-loving Chinese parents who pooled their money to pay for weekly rink time. With no league to play in, however, the team disbanded after three years. Nor will civic leagues in China develop along the lines of, say, Little League Baseball. Organizations of all sizes must register with the state, which fears that any regular gathering of people, from a kayak club to a sewing circle, could grow into an anti-government clique. Sports leagues have an especially tough time because the government considers them training grounds for the Olympics. One privately owned basketball team in China's state-controlled professional league refused to surrender its star point guard to the junior national squad in 2004 and was kicked out of the league. (Oddly enough, the team now plays in a professional league in Los Angeles under the name Beijing Aoshen Olympians.) The Chinese government doesn't release meaningful sports-budget statistics, but national expenditure is surely many times greater than the $130 million that the United States Olympic Committee spends each year. This has led some Chinese intellectuals to openly question whether a developing nation like China should spend so much on something so trivial as gold medals. But think back to the American ice hockey team in 1980 and to those resounding chants of “U-S-A!” That unexpected triumph against the Soviet Union, and the gold medal that followed, showed our American grit and had a resounding effect on the national spirit. It put “Do you believe in miracles?” into the national conversation and gave us the heavy-rotation cable TV sports film, “Miracle on Ice.” Beijing's leaders didn't create a world where Olympic success means more than a Nobel Prize or good lending libraries. But they inherited it. In the coming weeks, if they can displace America's athletes at the top of the gold medal charts and China's people accept a system in which only the most promising athletes get to enjoy organized sports, then the rest of the world has few grounds for complaint. After all, we Americans are supposed to be the good sports. It is a mausoleum for a royal family - the Jingjiang Family in Ming Dynasty whose eleven generations were buried. Moreover, there are more than 300 tombs covering 100 square kilometers, making up the biggest ancient tomb group in south China. The well-preserved tombs have become important relics of culture and history in Guilin.
"I have visited more than 80 countries and over a hundred cities. I have found that no city can surpass the beauty of Guilin." Guilin is regarded in China as the country's most picturesque city. Two crystal-clear rivers meander through the city, which is encircled by mountains with unusual & bizarre rock formations and caves. Two crustal movements of the earth took place about 200 and 180 million years ago thrusting the limestone sediments out of the sea bottom. They were forced upwards more than 200 meters to the surface. This karst formation was molded through many years of erosion by the wind and rain to became the hills and rocks with unusual shapes . There are many complete karst (Limestone sites), which are of high scientific value and tourist value. Guilin is named after the fragrance of osmanthus tree and saw its first inhabitants in Qin Dynasty over 2,000 years ago. Guilin prospered and flourished in Tang, Song, Ming and Qing under patronage from succeeding Emperors. It is currently home to 12 ethnic nationalities with a total population of 1,260,000 in the city and surrounding area. Guilin's reputation as one of the world's most a beautiful places has become established over hundreds of years and ranks second on China list of the 10 best tourist destinations. Location Guilin is located 109°E longitude and 24° N latitude in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The Guilin Government area covers an area of 4,195 square kilometers. It is in a basin surrounded by the Yuecheng Range , Ocean Hill, Jiaqiao Range and Tianping Hill. Guilin is located almost due west of Hong Kong and about 1 hour by air. Guilin is in subtropical and monsoon zone with warm and moist climate. The altitude is 140-160 meters. All this makes Guilin a unique natural experience for the visitor. The Li River meanders through Guilin from north to south. Most of Guilin city lies on the western bank of the Li River. Rock Bottom WoW Gold Price On This Summer!

Hubei Provincial Museum.Monday, April 21. 2008Today, we will go to visit Hubei Provincial Museum. On the way to the museum, I'd like to show a present to express my warmest welcome to you. You may wonder what the present is. Well let me introduce it to you. The music you are going to listen to is the very gift. Now, please enjoy the music. Have you ever listened to the music? And what musical instrument is used to play the beautiful melody? That's the serial bells, a wonder in the world. Indeed a wonder in the world. Every year tourists from all over the world continuously come to visit them and appreciate the programs played by it. Each year they return with unforgettable memory. The building with red wall and green tiers before us is the very museum, Hubei Provincial Museum. Constructed in 1953, the museum is the center for collecting, studying, preserving and displaying historical and cultural relics in Hubei. More than 700,000 ancient relics are stored up in it. There is a collection of 100,000 books on history, archaeology, art etc. These relics provide precious material data for studying the development of history, culture, art, science and technology in ancient China. Situated in the middle reach of the Yangtze River, Hubei has a long history and rich land. As early as 2,000,000 years ago, our ancestors lived and worked here and gradually they began to create their own civilization. The relics unearthed from Zenghouyi Tomb are good proofs to the civilization. The relics displayed in the museum are most from the tomb. Serial bells are the most precious and greatest of them all. Are you familiar with the history of the serial bells? It is said that it is the oldest musical instrument kept in the world. You see, our ancestors already knew how to use music to enrich their lives so long ago. Luckily indeed, our archaeologists discovered it by accident and thus displayed the marvelous ancient civilization of Chu State in front us. In 1978, a soldier discovered a large tomb when building his house. It was really a great surprise to discover it at that time. Afterwards, archaeologists excavated these serial bells on the same spot. This was appraised to be the tomb of Zenghouyi. It was220 square meters, 20 metros deep, consisting of 4 tombs. The main coffin was made up of huge internal and external coffins. The man in it died at the age of 45. Those buried alive with the dead were all female, aged from 13 to 25. They were in 21 coffins. Besides the serial bells, more than 7,000 other historical cultural relics have been unearthed, such as bronze ware, ancient musical instrument, weapons, golden ware, jade ware, painted ware, woodenware, and bamboo ware. Most of them are unique art treasure and they were deliberately made. What is especially worth mentioning is the ancient musical instrument, such as serial bells, stone chimes, drums, 25-stringed plucked zither, and bamboo flute. They are totally 8 types, including 124 pieces. The entire musical instrument is placed perfectly among the bronze serial bells. They make the tomb look like an ancient concert hall. Today the underground concert hall has come back to life. As a major instrument, 64 serial bells are put in the middle room, lined along the north and west wall. It can be concluded that serial bells are Zenhouyi's favorite, for his body was placed in the west room. As wee see, these big bells are shaped like round-bottomed baskets; small ones are like warming pots. They are hung in 3 layers from the winding bell shelf that is 13 meters long, 2.7 meters high. The whole bell shelf is supported by 6 human-shape objects. It is as strong as newly cast. Ok, let me give you a brief introduction about the elegant ancient serial bells. All the bells have been played. They are all carved with inscription about musical melody. Each bell can produce 2 pitches. After many years of research, we find that its amplitude approached the international level of today. The combined scale is the 7 notes in C major of today. Its compasses very side, including 5 and a half octaves. The whole sound may be adjusted. Its wooden shelf is quite exquisite. Although buried for 2,400 years, the serial bells are well played. It not only can be used to play with to produce scores with the same melody, but also can produce mixed sounds though harmony and repeat tunes. Chinese musical pieces, such as Intoning Three Times Before Leaving Yang Pass, The Moon On The Spring River, and foreign pieces, such as Christmas Eve, can be played on it, even Beethoven's Ode to Joy in the Ninth Symphony can be. Foreign tourists are usually attracted by the fascinating music when listening to the Chinese song The Night On The Prairie. When foreign songs cut in, they are shocked by the old civilization of Chu State. As the famous violinist, Menuin praised it, "The grand Greek music is accepted by the world". However, the musical instruments in ancient Greece were made of wood, what's more, not a single instrument is kept till today. Here we are able to enjoy the sound of the instrument of 2,000 years' history from the tomb of Chu State. Actually, whoever enjoys the music played on the serial bells will be surprised at the great achievement made by the people of Chu State in the fields of music, culture, smelting, and casting. According to the history, Chu State was called the state of rites and music at that time. People in Chu State love dancing. They danced in the palace and sang in the room. They knew how to enjoy dancing and singing. We can imagine the following scene. The host of the bomb was seated in his palace and watched the girls dancing. On both his sides sat his followers. They sat on the floor. A table with short legs was placed in front of them. They put one hand on the table that is used to hold arms. This can be proved by the relics in the tomb. Do you know, in China, a male and a female mandarin ducks are the symbol of love, for they often play together in the water and live together. Can you see the box here? This box was found in the tomb. The box was painted. It was empty in it. But there are some pictures. They describe a very vivid situation; some people are striking bells, beating drums and dancing. This picture is very precious, for we can know how these instruments should be played, especially the serial bells. I wonder if you have noticed that there is only one mandarin duck on the box. Do you know why? Oh, he is abandoned by his lover. But he found a new company—music. He didn't heed the other mandarin duck, for what he really loved was music. Well, I have a question. What is the tourists' favorite? The music played on the serial bells. Click on the web site to get free World of Warcraft Gold. WOW GOLD...WOw GOLd...Wow GOld...wow Gold U.S. Describes Confrontation With Iranian BoatsMonday, January 14. 2008News from The New York Times Jan 8,2008 wow gold WASHINGTON — In a brief confrontation in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, five armed Iranian fast boats took aggressive actions on Sunday around three United States Navy warships in international waters, according to a Pentagon spokesman, who called the moves "reckless and dangerous.” The confrontation, which ended uneventfully after about 20 minutes, took place as the three American vessels were sailing into the Persian Gulf, according to Bryan Whitman, a Pentagon spokesman. The American vessels were a destroyer, a frigate and a cruiser. The Iranian government played down the episode, saying that it ended immediately when the vessels recognized one another. But Mr. Whitman and other officials described a tense confrontation in the strait, a narrow but vital passage through which millions of barrels of oil move each day. Oil prices on world markets spiked briefly on the news, which was first reported by CNN. In Iran, the Fars news agency posted an account quoting an unnamed source at the Revolutionary Guards saying that the Iranian boats noticed the Navy vessels getting close to Iranian territory, and that the American vessels identified themselves. "Nothing out of ordinary happened, and the vessels left,"he was quoted as saying. A Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mohammad Ali Hosseini, also told the official Irna news agency that the encounter was "quite normal,"something that frequently happened. The confrontation came at a time of considerable tensions between the two countries, and a day before President Bush was to visit the region for a weeklong tour aimed both at encouraging Middle East talks and conveying a message that Iran continues to pose a serious threat. The White House warned Tehran against any repetition of the confrontation. "We urge the Iranians to refrain from such provocative actions that could lead to a dangerous incident in the future,"said Gordon Johndroe, a White House spokesman. One Defense Department official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe early reports from the Navy's regional headquarters in Bahrain, said that the Iranian boats made a radio threat that the American ships would explode. "The five Iranian fast boats essentially came in and charged the ships,"the Defense Department official said. The verbal warnings heard in English over the internationally recognized bridge-to-bridge radio channel said, "I am coming at you, and you will explode in a few minutes,"the official said. A few minutes later, one of the Iranian boats placed two white boxes, possibly meant to be taken for mines, in the wake of one of the Navy ships, which caused another of the American vessels to take evasive action. "Whether they're just testing us to learn about our procedures, or actually trying to initiate an incident, we don't know,"the official said. The five fast boats were identified by Defense Department officials as belonging to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. Traditionally, the Revolutionary Guards' maritime forces have operated in a far more hostile manner than the regular Iranian Navy. "We have found in the past that the regular Iranian Navy was a courteous and professional organization, and our relations are as we would have with any other navy in the world,"said one Pentagon official who has studied the issue. "The I.R.G.C. Navy has a tendency to act in these unprofessional ways, and to be very provocative at times." Miami (U.S.)Wednesday, December 19. 2007It used to be called ‘God's Waiting Room'. And even today,if you mention Miami to someone who hasn't been here or read about it lately, they might conjure up a blurry memory of octogenarians mingling poolside while Aunt Sadie implored them to wait half an hour after eating before going into the water. Today the old folks mingle with fashion designers, bikini models, and a city that once had the highest murder rate in the US attracts more than 11 million tourists a year. wow gold The Greater Miami Area, which includes Miami and Miami Beach as well as distinctive neighborhoods like Little Havana and Little Haiti,is a melting pot that America's founding fathers would be proud of. Half of Miami's population is Hispanic ,and its immigrant communities focus on what's happening in Havana or Caracas s much as they follow events in Washington DC,giving the city an international outlook. For the casual visitor this means a city peppered with the flavors of Latin American food, language, music, politics and spirit. wow gold Miami is the most populated city in Florida. It sits at the southeastern tip of the Florida, the most southeastern state of the United States, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Gulf of Mexico to the west and the neighboring states of Alabama and Georgia to the north. world of warcraft gold Most visitors aren't here for Miami itself, but rather to visit Miami Beach,an entirely separate municipality. Miami is on the mainland, while the city of Miami Beach is on a thin barrier island about 4 miles east, across Biscayne Bay - locals call it the Billion Dollar Sandbar 。 Many of the beach's locals are imports from New York, people tired of sitting through five hours of snarled traffic on their way to the Hamptons, who decided that Miami Beach made a lot more sense. They brought with them a fledgling art and culture crowd whose numbers included many younger artists. The boundaries of ‘season' in Miami - which used to be limited to winter - have been blurred by the huge number of people moving to the area and the stampede of fashion and film shoots. But the most popular time to come here is still between December and May,when temperatures average between 16-30°C,and average rainfall is a scant couple of inches. http://zhenlong.blogs.sonance.net/
